Memphis BBQ Network

The Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) is one of the leading sanctioning bodies of BBQ contests in the world. It is dedicated to promoting and preserving the unique Memphis style of BBQ though education, support, and management. MBN officials assist event organizers in promoting, organizing, and conducting the sanctioned events in accordance with MBN standards.

H&A handles a multitude of projects including eBlasts, quarterly newsletters and fundraising for the organization, which entails production of proposal booklets. Hammons also handles social media planning and execution for each sanctioned contest, Judges Trainings, and MBN’s annual QueBall.

Hammons is also involved in Delta BBQ Battle, which consists of four contests in the Mississippi Delta – Greenwood’s ‘Que on the Yazoo in May, Delta State University’s Pig Pickin’ and Great Ruleville Roast in Ruleville, MS in September, and Cleveland Octoberfest / Mississippi Delta State Barbecue Championship in October. Scores are recorded from the preliminary judging rounds and then added together to determine the winners.
